Every year, Legion M takes over Park City, Utah, during the Sundance Film Festival -- and we want YOU to come hang with us at the movie industry’s most prestigious film festival in America. WHY SUNDANCE WITH LEGION M?
If you've attended Sundance with Legion M in the past, you know what an incredible experience it is. If you haven't, here’s what you can expect.
For starters, the Legion M Lounge at Sundance is located at Park City’s historic Red Banjo Pizza Parlour. Nestled in the heart of Main Street next to the famous Egyptian Theatre, the Legion M Lounge has proven to be one of the most sought-after Sundance destinations for festival goers, filmmakers, and celebrities alike. And whenever we can, Legion members get VIP access to our events and activities!
SCOUT FILMS FROM PARK CITY OR HOME!
A festival like Sundance can have more than 100 new films premiering. The challenge is that our team on the ground can only watch a handful of these movies. How do we determine which films to watch? And how do we know which films will resonate with a wider audience?
That’s where we turn to our secret weapon — YOU. Prior to the festival, we provide a simple interface that allows our community of FILM SCOUTS to rate and evaluate each film based on the information available (log lines and summaries, the cast, the director, the filmmakers, etc.). It’s all online so ANYONE can participate from anywhere in the world. The aggregation of these ratings provides valuable data about which films are the most popular with a broad audience — and we use that data to focus our efforts, creating our “watchlist” for the festival.
But if you’re with us in Park City, you can take it one step further. Legion M SCOUTS at the festival are our front lines — they provide detailed ratings and reviews for the films they have actually seen. This effectively gives us eyes and ears all over the festival to ensure we don’t miss any hidden gems, and provides invaluable data that can be used for making our decisions.
HOW TO PLAN YOUR TRIP
The earlier you can begin looking at flights and accommodations, the better. If you want to catch the Legion M lounge, plan to come the first week of the festival — we'll always be set up from Thursday to Sunday. For deals on flights, check out sites like Kayak, Momondo or Expedia. Or if you’re within a couple hundred miles of the city, you can always road trip it with other Legion M members!
For your stay, consider some non-traditional routes like AirBNB or VRBO. You can join forces with friends, family or other members of the Legion and rent a home or apartment in the area. You can also post in the Legion M Members Facebook Page to find other folks who are rooming together and may have space for more. Sundance is a super fun opportunity for the Legion to come together offline and celebrate incredible achievements in film and entertainment!

Purchase a Sundance Film Festival pass, a ticket package, or advanced individual tickets to specific films through the Sundance website.
