Signed and numbered by Ben Olson's hand, one at a time. No autopen, no stamp. Frame not included.
The first two went in hours. The Fine Art of Disregard sold out the day it went up. Nothing to Chase But Stars was gone by noon on Chuck Jones's birthday. Both editions are closed and neither will be reprinted.
There are 449 of this one, and that is because of you. What we heard after the first two was mostly from people who wanted one and missed it, so Ben and the gallery agreed to open this edition up. It is still signed and numbered by hand, one at a time, and when the 449 are gone the signed edition is closed for good.
The Coyote is at his drawing table, mid-plan, surrounded by every idea that has ever failed him. The Road Runner is on the shelf directly behind him. He has not noticed.
The ten things Ben hid in it
Nothing in this painting is decoration. Every object is either something Chuck Jones owned, something that appeared on screen in 1949, or a date doing a job.
New Mexico, 1949
The road runner became New Mexico's state bird in 1949, the year Fast and Furry-ous came out. Ben painted the poster, then painted a target on it.
The explosives
TNT here, dynamite on the top shelf, an ACME anvil on the cabinet. Every famous gag within reach, none of them working.
How To Cook, Vol. 12
Volume 12 for 1912, the year Chuck Jones was born. 114 ways, because he would have turned 114 this year.
ACME Super Outfit
The first branded ACME product ever to appear on screen, in 1949. Everything ACME has sold him since started with that box.
The metronome
Chuck kept one on his desk and timed his films with it. Ben labelled this one Timing Is Everything.
Blackwing 602s
Chuck's pencil, for layouts and production drawings. Still made, still sold.
Roughing It
Chuck read Twain at seven and remembered his description of a coyote thirty years later. The purple book beside it is Chuck Amuck.
The definition of a fanatic
Santayana: a fanatic redoubles his effort after forgetting his aim. Chuck said it explained the Coyote. It is also the title of this painting.
Road Runner Ketchup
A nod to Ketchup Entertainment, who bought Coyote vs. ACME and put it in cinemas. Check the roundel on the label.
Just Keep Trying
Not on Ben's list. Also the entire painting in three words.
That is the list. If you find an eleventh, we would like to hear about it.
The launch call, if you missed it
Just over seventy minutes with the four people behind this collection. Ben revealed Fanaticus Foreverus live on this call, and it went on sale an hour later. If you were not there, this is the one to watch.

What the hour covered.
-
Why now
The film is in cinemas because people refused to let it disappear, and this community was part of making that happen.
-
Three parties, one chain
The Chuck Jones Gallery produces and certifies every edition. Ben paints the work and signs every print by hand. Legion M releases them. That chain is the reason these are the real article and not a poster.
-
Ben on the work
How the paintings get built, and the four days he spent drawing to order at the Legion M booth at Comic-Con, freehand, in pen, with no pencil underneath.
-
Why every price ends in nine
Chuck released Fast and Furry-ous in 1949. The artist sketch is $49 for that year, and the rest of the ladder was built out from there.
-
The reveal
Fanaticus Foreverus, shown in public for the first time.
